Alternatively, assessment records are available for public viewing during regular business hours Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the municipal offices at 136 North Monroe Street in Waterloo.

Each year the City of Waterloo, by state statute, is required to formally schedule periods of time for review of the assessment records. This time is known as "Open Book." This is typically held in early Spring in April.

How can I appeal my assessment?
You must appeal your assessment by the end of the business day prior to the scheduled Board of Review meeting. You may pick up an assessment objection form at City Hall during regular business hours (8:00 am to 4:30 pm). How do I request that my property be reviewed?
Complete a Request for Review of Property Assessment form, which can be found by clicking on "FORMS" listed in blue in the left pull-down menu. After completing the form mail or email it to Associated Appraisal Consultants, Inc. or deliver it to the municipal clerk's office.
